Magical marathons and races!

Hello, again Friends!

     Let's talk about races and marathons, and how you can add a little magic in your step by wearing a lovely princess apron by Lover Dovers. Here is a new spin on dressing a team, instead of matching outfits you can show off your own style while still fitting in with your other princesses /teammates. One of the great things about our aprons is they are made for everyday comfort, so running in them is a breeze. They are also made to fit any shape and size.

Some of you might have heard of the Disney Princess enchanted 5k and 10k marathon at Disney World. Check out these lovely ladies finishing the race dressed in style as their favorite princess! Even if you aren't running at Disney World, many places across the world have marathons you can take part in or better yet, run for charity!

Here at Lover Dovers, we are a family and a team and dressing other teams, like for a charity race is one of the things we love to be involved in. People coming together to accomplish goals and help others is a beautiful thing. 💗 The ladies above brought their very own fairy Godmother to the race to Bibbity Bobbity Boo them on to the finish line! Using magic in a race is legal right?!?  Looking amazing Ladies! 🏅

Oh my goodness! This tiny runner is soooo adorable, and the joy on her face is contagious! Getting children involved in a race is a great way to spend time together and teach them about working towards goals, keeping active and giving back to their community.✨🥇✨

Our tutu aprons are adorable and bouncy and I bet they would be fun to run in. What a charming snow white!

The rewards for the Disney Enchanted Princess 5k and 10k marathons look magical! These medals are deserving of a princess and would look great on display in your home. I would come back every year just for the beautifully themed medals hehe.

Maybe being a prim and proper princess isn't your thing? Join a MuddyPrincess 5k obstacle course mud run. This mud run takes place in many cities around the country and I have to say it looks exciting and so much fun. Check out the Muddy Princess Video! Wow, that looks like a serious workout! Strong women coming together having an amazing weekend and being active, what's not to love? I think I'm sold, time to find the next one near me!

Come on Tinker Bell you can do it! I love the wings, they are so cute! I wonder if they give her extra speed and lift, she looks light on her toes like she just might take flight, don't you think? The girl power is real in these photos! The little ladies below are showing some serious confidence and determination, tough little beauties.

✨ Mary Poppins a Magical Adventure! ✨

Hello Friends!
     Today we are going to go on a magical adventure into the world of Mary Poppins! First of all I have always LOVED the movie ever since I was a little girl. Now that I am grown with daughters of my own, I have been super excited to share this lovely story with them! They can now enjoy it as much as I always did and spark their imaginations in all things magic, whimsy, and song.   

I also dream that children and parents all over the world would be able to, play dress up, attend costume parties, host themed birthday parties, have photo shoots, or even visit the Magic Kingdom, looking the part just like my children and I do. So, I have created a special Mary Poppins inspired dress and apron collection called The Jolly Holiday Collection. This apron is two pretty shades of green with black and white accents and adorable parrot printed fabric. 💓 !! Some of the aprons in this collection are super limited quantities !!

                                                   🎈 Its Party Time! 🎈
For my daughters birthday party we celebrated in style with an explosion of everything Mary Poppins. It was refreshing to go with a theme out of the norm, and all the guests LOVED it! Even the adults felt like a child again enjoying all the fun desserts, mint juleps, and old fashioned bonnets and hats. This theme is sure to impress, but is uncomplicated to execute and so fun to put together.

                                       
             
                        🍬 Sugar Overload!🍬
The magic is real at the dessert table! Our dessert table had tons of fun old fashioned candies, like circus peanuts in cute popcorn containers, delicious sprinkled candied apples, jars of matching meringues, saltwater taffy, gum balls, marshmallow twists, cake pops, and umbrella sugar cookies! To top it off we had a tiers of beautiful race horse cupcake that came out great and are easy to recreate.
Print out your topper, glue on the feather, maybe add some glitter and they are easy as that. Just match them with a fun cupcake cover!
                         
 
 
   



                    🎀  The Guests Tables 🎉
 
The tables were simple to create but made a big statement with
bold contrasting colors, whimsical centerpieces, and bows on the chairs. For the centerpieces we used tall red containers filled with big lollipops and fabric streamers. Serve alcohol-free Mint Juleps to remind everyone we are at the races!

What party would be complete without the fun of a piñata? This is a DIY handmade piñata. They take time to create but it is so worth it to see the delight in your child's eyes when they  see a big carousel horse just for them flying though the sky!

     To finish off the look I ordered Vintage 1950's Hallmark Birthday Bonnets. The fun thing about the races is wearing a big fluffy extravagant hat.
